Take the much-needed rest and relaxation you deserve — you and your partner can indulge in a couples massage alongside many fun-filled activities such as an Italian cooking class and wine tasting, all the while knowing that the kids are having a blast on vacation.

Take an Italian Cooking Class

If your love language is pasta, be sure to grab an apron and join the chefs of Nemacolin for an Italian-inspired cooking class. You and your partner will cook, laugh, and learn to make some of Italy’s favorite pasta dishes before tasting and enjoying your food creations. Make sure you reserve in advance to secure your spot!

 Wine Tasting

We cordially invite you to imbibe with a wine-tasting experience. Indulge your senses with three varieties of wine while you learn about their characteristics and origins all paired with cheese for your enjoyment. Advance reservations are required. 

Make an evening of it and reserve a table at Fawn & Fable for dinner to enjoy the finest cuts and seasonal ingredients from local partners paired with a robust wine collection, hand-crafted cocktails, craft beers, and a selection of whiskies to complement the menu.

Find a balance between alone time and time spent with the kids when you plan a vacation at Nemacolin. With so many fun-filled indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family, you will be spoilt for choice. 

Cosmic Bowling

Cosmic wonder, whimsy, and fun fill the space at The Peak with neon, black lights, and artistic designs. Offering up classic family-fun, try your luck, and challenge your friends to a game at our eight-lane bowling alley. Recent upgrades, enhancements, and a whole lot of new game options have been added — even the gutters can add points to your game now!

While you’re playing or when you’re finished, there is delicious, casual dining at The Peak. You can enjoy your meal and some cocktails or mocktails inside, outside, poolside, or in your cabana. The Pools at The Peak provide a hot tub, grotto, sunbathing islands, and two pools. Kids love the lower pool, as it features floaties and a moving current.

Golf Course

Nemacolin is also a golf resort that welcomes families with children of all ages! The resort features two challenging courses, Mystic Rock and Shepherd’s Rock, offering breathtaking views of the Pennsylvania Allegheny Mountains. Younger children can join their parents on the courses, with complimentary play for kids under 12 accompanied by a paying adult. Children under 18 must have a parent present, and the minimum age for driving a golf cart is also 18 years old. Additionally, Fallingbrook Mini Golf provides an excellent alternative for fun and entertainment. Nemacolin is the ideal destination for golf enthusiasts of all ages.

Paintball

Always a good time — paintball is a great activity for parents and children over the age of eight. Nemacolin offers target paintball for $40 per person where you can perfect your aim of shooting at stationary targets and practicing your sniper skills. Four hundred rounds of paint are included with your gun rental. Having too much fun? Don’t worry. Additional paintballs can be purchased.

Once you have mastered your skills, take it to the woods for our outdoor combat paintball. Organized by The Peak staff, this thrilling combat atmosphere will have you on the edge of your toes the entire time as your team fights to dress the other team in a canvas of colored paint. On that note, be sure to leave your favorite white clothes behind as the paint may stain clothing. Games are $100 per person and last for two hours. A 24-hour advanced reservation and a minimum of four people are required per team. 

Wildlife Adventures

Take a walk on the wild side and explore the wildlife adventures offered across the resort. Bringing together animals from all corners of the world, Wildlife Adventures provides interactive education and live animal programs. 

Forget the zoo! Hop in your car, bike, or walk the trails, and visit the Wildlife Habitats which feature Billy Goat Mountain, Iranian red sheep, buffalo, tigers, lions, wolves, and more. Nemacolin is home to smaller exotic and domestic animals such as a kinkajou, silver foxes, a striped skunk, rabbits, and reptiles, just to name a few.

Level up your adventurous side with an animal encounter, trail ride, safari tour, or meet-and-greet experience. Be sure to check out the Big Cat Encounter which features Bengal tigers, African lions, and a mountain lion. Each of our big cats was born in captivity, and many of them are rescues who once lived in other places — they are wild animals that our trained keepers work closely with to make sure they are happy in their habitat. 

During your encounter, you will learn about the various behavioral, intellectual, and enrichment training we share with the cats. You’ll hear insider information about their personalities, and you’ll be able to observe the carnal nature of these creatures during a feeding. The Big Cat Encounter lasts 45-60 minutes and costs $156 per person. Please wear appropriate attire and no open-toed shoes. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a guardian.

Climbing Wall

Whether you are a beginner or an expert at rock climbing, you are sure to enjoy the 50’ freestanding climbing wall at Nemacolin. Face your fear of heights, gain confidence, and conquer this three-sided structure which offers a range of route options to suit all skill levels. The climbing wall costs $19.50 per person which includes taxes and gratuity — and a helmet for safety.

Kids Indoor Pool

Need a break from the great outdoors? Open all year round, the Kids Indoor Pool offers swimming fun for the whole family in a 3’ deep pool. Conveniently located in the Kids Club area near PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor, your kids can splash around and then enjoy an after-swim treat.

Kids Club Services Available at Nemacolin

Drop off the kids for a full or half day at the Nemacolin Kids Club. Our children’s program offers supervised activity and entertainment for ages 5-12. Make sure you pack their swimsuit, tennis shoes, and outerwear for the exciting activities we offer. 

At this time, a full day from 9am-4pm is $138 and includes lunch. A half-day is $75 and may include lunch for an additional $15. Half-days are from 9am-12pm, or 1pm-4pm.

Have romantic dinner plans? Leave the kids with us. We offer babysitting with dinner included for a night out for $120 between 5pm-10pm. 

Babysitting Services at Nemacolin

In addition to the Kids Club, Nemacolin also offers guests professional babysitting services in your room, townhome, or private resort home for children of all ages.
