The Orvis-endorsed Fly-Fishing Lodge at the Rod & Range Club offers some of the finest fly-fishing streams in the Eastern United States. From beginners to experienced anglers, we promise a thrilling fishing experience to remember.

Enjoy our range of day trips with a trained fishing guide. Transportation and equipment are included for all trips, and lunch is offered on full-day trips. Fishing is by reservation only and weather permitting.

Please note that all fly-fishing trips are catch and release, and reservations are required. A valid state fishing license is required and sold separately.

  • A dedicated shuttle for the Rod & Range Club departs The Chateau every half hour on :15 and :45, starting at 8:45am with the last shuttle at 4:45pm.

Fly-Fishing 101

Learn the basics or take your fly fishing to the next level with our instructional offerings. Learn basic casting and knots with a 2-hour lesson. *Please note, Fly-Fishing 101 does not include time on the water.

Spin-Cast Fishing

Ideal for beginners, spin fishing uses a spinning lure to catch fish. Classes are held on property ponds.

  • Guided classes: 8am & 2pm

  • $169 per person for a 2-hour session; includes tax, gratuity, bait, tackle, guide; limit of four people per class

  • $195 per person (Ages 8 & up) | Junior Outdoorsman Package | This package is designed especially for the young, outdoor enthusiasts. Each two-hour session includes Air Rifle, Archery, and Spin Fishing Lessons. A four-to-one child / guide ratio, maximum; tax & gratuity included.

  • Rod rentals: 9am & 1pm
    24-hour rental

  • $30 per person per rod
    includes rod, tackle, and bait; unguided rental

  • Fishing available at Lake PJ and the pond at the Rod & Range Club; fishing is not permitted on any other Nemacolin lakes, ponds, waterways, or streams

  • No fishing license is required
