The Wildlife Academy is located in the old Equestrian Center and dedicated to provide interactive entertainment and live animal programs with an emphasis on education.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort has added several wildlife habitats to its 3,000 acre property over the past year, and is now home to black bears, zebras, and even a white buffalo. 

Normal hours of operation are daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The following activities are available at the Wildlife Academy:

• Fatbird Express
• Trail and Pony rides
• Animal Encounter Petting Zoo is available anytime during The Wildlife Academy's operating hours.
• Nursery Experience is available hourly, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The last experience of the day starts at 5:00 p.m.
• Wild World of Animals Show: Meet some of your favorite animals Saturday starting at 8:00 p.m.  This show has been moved from the Wildlife Academy and is now hosted at the Croquet Court in front of the Chateau LaFayette.
• Kennel Tours are available daily at 11:30 a.m.
• Private tours of animals are available daily by reservation only.
