Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Announces Exciting 2017 Golf Season
Highlights Include New Shepherd’s Rock Course Opening in July, Outstanding Packages
FARMINGTON, PA (February 15, 2017) – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort – the acclaimed luxury resort in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania – announces its exciting 2017 golf season starts with the opening of Mystic Rock on March 31 and crescendos with its Shepherd’s Rock course debut on July 12.
Perched high atop the Allegheny Mountains, the 7,151-yard Pete Dye-designed Shepherd’s Rock course will offer extraordinary golf in a spectacular setting. The rolling bucolic terrain is ideal to fully utilize Dye’s brilliant imagination in fashioning a routing sure to draw raves from both media and guests. The layout is expected to rival the highest-rated courses in the country, with a picturesque finishing hole sure to provide lasting memories.
From March 31 – July 1, the resort is offering its Unlimited Golf Package featuring luxurious overnight accommodations and unlimited rounds at the best available rate (per person, per day) on Mystic Rock, its lauded initial Pete Dye-designed layout. Mystic Rock was recently ranked No. 40 in Golfweek’s 2017 “Best Resort Courses” list and was the host venue of the PGA TOUR’s 84 Lumber Classic from 2003-2006.
Also beginning March 31, Nemacolin’s season-long Stay & Play Golf Package includes extravagant overnight accommodations and a round of golf on Mystic Rock or Shepherd’s Rock after it opens in July. The resort’s premium “Double Dose of Dye” getaway will feature two-nights’ luxury accommodations and a round of golf on each of its extraordinary layouts from July 12 through the end of the golf season.
“The opening of Shepherd’s Rock in July will be the highlight of a banner golf season for our members and guests here at Nemacolin,” says Mike Jones, director of golf and recreation. “Our array of packages will allow golfers to experience two extraordinary Pete Dye golf courses as well as the world-class accommodations and amenities for which we’re known.”
