Thanksgiving starts the holiday season at Pennsylvania ’s premier resort
Farmington, PA (August 15, 2006) — Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Pennsylvania’s premier 4-Star/4-Diamond resort, warms up for the Holiday Season with extensive activities throughout the Thanksgiving weekend. Nemacolin is the place that family traditions are made of – whether for special holidays or for a much-needed getaway.
For the Thanksgiving holiday, families are the focus, starting with the resort’s expansive Thanksgiving Day Brunch on Thursday, Nov. 23. Seating begins at 10:30 a.m. and continues through 2:30 p.m. Brunch includes special craft stations for children, and a photographer will be available to take family portraits from 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Nemacolin’s Thanksgiving Brunch is open to both overnight and day guests; advance reservations are required.
Friday evening (Nov. 24) transforms the luxury resort into a winter wonderland with Light Up Night – complete with choral groups, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a special presentation to Project Bundle Up, a charity in Southwestern Pennsylvania that provides winter coats to needy children and adults. Light Up Night begins with the arrival of Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves by train, with Santa “lighting” the resort’s extensive holiday lights and decorations. Complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider are available to all guests. Santa and Mrs. Claus then move inside for visits with children, and the special Holiday Dinner & a Show featuring live entertainment wraps up the family festivities.
Santa Claus and his elves return on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 25-26 for the always popular Breakfast with Santa. Children of all ages can have their photo taken, participate in holiday carnival games, and make personal gifts in Santa’s Workshop, with four different holiday crafts for children to choose from. Reservations are required for Breakfast with Santa, and space fills up quickly.
