Celebrate New Year’s in the Wild, Wild West or the Roaring ‘20s
Farmington, PA (October 21, 2006) — Whether you are a couple, a family, or a group of friends, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in the Laurel Highland mountains outside Pittsburgh has a New Year’s Eve event just for you. Celebrate 2007 in style with special packages that offer a variety of options for creating a very memorable New Year’s experience.
This year’s two gala themed parties are:
- Wild, Wild West – This family party is kid-friendly for every little cowboy and cowgirl. Festivities include a lavish, cowboy-themed dinner buffet, dancing, costume contest, games for children, balloon drop and champagne/ginger ale toast at 10:00 p.m. – “midnight” for kids. Entertainment is provided by PJ the DJ, a costumed disc jockey.
- The Roaring ‘20s – This black-tie optional affair is at Nemacolin’s exclusive Horizon Point. Party goers will revel in the days when flapper dresses and dancing the Charleston were all the rage. Music is provided by Pittsburgh-based entertainer Sputzy playing timeless classics and dance hits, and casino-style table games complete the speakeasy setting. Nemacolin’s Restaurant Collection – Lautrec, Aqueous and Autumn – are each offering special New Year’s Eve fixed-price menus featuring a variety of course selections.
- Dinner Only – For guests wanting to enjoy a quiet evening for New Year’s, there is a special “Room and Dinner” option with the guest’s choice of Lautrec, Aqueous or Autumn.
For children and teenagers not attending either party, Nemacolin’s Activities Department is hosting two options:
- Teen Party (ages 12 and older) at the resort’s Ski Lodge. Teens will be kept active and entertained with Hummer® rides, target paintball, snow shoeing (weather permitting) video games including the hot Dance Dance Revolution, and an engaging lesson in dog sledding. Snacks and sodas are included.
- Kidz Night Out (ages 4 to 12) in the Seqouia Room. Organized activities include a variety of games, a dinner buffet and a special ice cream break.
Each package option requires a three-night stay and includes accommodations, dinner and the New Year’s Day Brunch.
