What is the difference between the Chateau Lafayette and the Lodge?
The Chateau Lafayette is a French Renaissance inspired hotel, while the Lodge exudes an English Country Cottage charm. Both are equally appointed with luxury furnishings and bedding, and share all of the same amenities.
Are more spacious accommodations available for families or groups of friends?
Yes. Our Townhomes offer two bedrooms, a full kitchen and 2 baths. We also offer Luxury Vacation Homes, which feature between two and seven bedrooms. For more information on these accommodations, please visit our Accommodations pages.
Do you allow pets?
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is proud to offer pet friendly vacation options. Nemacolin Wooflands, the region’s premier pet resort & spa, features lodging, a state-of-the-art grooming salon, outside exercise areas and more. Do townhomes have grills?
Grills are not provided at the Townhomes.
Is Room Service available to guests staying in the Two-Bedroom Townhomes and Luxury Vacation Homes?
Yes, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Room Service amenity is extended to guests staying in our Two-Bedroom Townhomes and Luxury Vacation Homes. Room Service may be reached by calling extension 6140.
What is the Resort Fee?
There is a $39 per day Resort Fee at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. This fee includes the following services: valet parking, on-property shuttle service, Fitness Center access (not inclusive of wet areas), wireless internet, local and toll free calls, outdoor pool access, in-room coffee or designated complimentary coffee areas, newspaper, select Art Tours, Fallingbrook Mini Golf and hiking / winter trails access.
Do I need reservations for dining and other services?
We strongly recommend making reservations in advance for dining, golf tee times and lessons, spa appointments, activities and children's activities. By booking in advance you will ensure a better opportunity to receive your desired appointments and times. To make reservations, please contact a Resort Reservations Specialist at 877.287.9407.
What is your room cancellation policy?
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort requires a 7-day cancellation notice. Canceling within 7 days of arrival will result in full forfeiture of the deposit. For details on our room cancellation policy, contact a Resort Reservations Specialist at 877.287.9407 for more information.
What are the Reservations Team's Hours of Operation?

How do I purchase a Gift Card?
Gift Cards are available for purchase Online, with the Concierge, or by calling 877.287.9407. Gift Cards are available in any denomination and can be redeemed for any service or amenity at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. This includes lodging, golf, spa, shopping, dining, etc. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed at Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center, Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin or for resort babysitting services.
What are shipping terms?
Nemacolin does not process delivery requests on weekends. Any USPS orders placed after 11:00 am EST and any overnight or second-day delivery orders processed after 1:00 pm EST Thursday will not begin delivery until Monday.
What are the Gift Cards terms and conditions?
Treat this card like cash. For balance inquiry, please visit our Gift Card Balance Checker or call 877.287.9407. This card cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law. This card does not expire, nor does Nemacolin charge fees for any reason. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Gift Cards cannot be used for any gaming activity at Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin. If you wish to redeem the gift card at Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, it can be used for food and beverage purchases at Otis and Henry's and the Lone Wolf only.
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Gift Cards cannot be redeemed at Wooflands Pet Resort & Spa or Woodlands Animal Care Center.
If you have a remaining balance left on an older gift certificate, please see a Nemacolin Concierge to combine or transfer to an updated Gift Card.
The following is stated on the back of outdated gift certificates:
- Gift certificate must be presented upon check-in or purchase.

Where can I see the Hardy Art Collection?
The Hardy Family Art Collection is on display throughout Nemacolin for the enjoyment of our guests. The collection ranges from rare Audubon Prints to works by contemporary masters. Complimentary art tours are given Sunday through Friday at 3:30 pm, and an Art Curators Tour is offered Saturdays at 3:30 pm. Are any of the pieces offered for sale?
Yes. Artwork exhibited in the Nemacolin Gallery is offered for sale. For inquiries on purchasing artwork, please visit the Chateau Signature Shoppe. Also, many of the vehicles in the Auto Toy Store collection are also for sale. For additional inquiries about purchasing from The Hardy Art Collection, please contact Nemacolin's Art Curator at 724.329.6315 or via email.
Do Restaurants accommodate guests with food allergies and / or special diets?
Yes, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort understands and respects our guests who suffer from food allergies or have adopted a food lifestyle / special diet. Regardless of your dietary needs, we are committed to delivering the same dining experience that our guests have come to expect. Our restaurants have separate Vegetarian and Gluten-Free menus prepared. Based on 72-hour advanced requests, our Chefs are equipped to alter menu items to accommodate guest’s needs. Prior to your meal, please alert your server of any food allergy you may suffer from including gluten, nut, shellfish, etc.
To better assist those with SEVERE food allergies, please contact our F&B Administrator at 724.329.6682, prior to your arrival. Nemacolin requests at least 72 hours in advance from arrival date for any last minute reservations requests.
Is there a cancellation policy for dining outlets?
Yes. A $25 charge will be billed for dining cancellations without at least 6-hours advanced notice for Lautrec, Autumn and Aqueous. There is a 24-hour advanced cancellation policy for Sunday Brunch, Wine Tastings and Afternoon Tea. The full reservation price will be billed for all holiday event brunch buffets without at least 48-hours advanced cancellation notice.
How many courses are available at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort?
We offer 36-holes of championship golf, including the PGA Tour-tested Mystic Rock and our new Pete Dye-designed Shepherd's Rock. Both courses are spread out across beautiful mountain landscapes and open to the public. We also have an 18-hole miniature golf course, Fallingbrook, complete with sand traps and waterfalls.
What is the cart path rule for the day?
Each morning, the golf course Superintendent will determine whether or not we will be able to drive our golf carts out onto the fairways. Please contact the Golf Pro Shop at 724.329.6111 in the morning to determine any restrictions.
I am handicapped and would like to have a handicap flag, what do I do? What does the handicap flag allow me to do?
We require a written doctors note or disability card in order to obtain a handicap flag. Golf carts with handicap flags will be allowed the following guidelines:
- Players may drive carts inside cart paths but please return carts to the paths at the cart posts.
- Players may not drive closer than 10 yards from any green or fairway bunker.
- Carts must remain on the cart path in restricted areas. Such as par threes and holes designated “Cart Path Only."
Each morning the course superintendent will determine whether or not handicap flags will be allowed for the day.
What is the pace of play for each course?
Pace of play is between 4 to 4½ hours. We also will add an additional 30 minutes to the round if we are cart path only.
Are caddies available for our round of golf?
Absolutely. Expertly trained forecaddies and walking caddies are available to enhance your golf experience during your time with us. Caddies are mandatory on both courses except for twilight tee times. Not only will you enjoy your experience that much more, but you will shoot a better score. Caddies give yardages, read the greens, clean clubs, track the golf ball's flight, rake sand traps, fix ball marks, fill divots and direct you through the course. Does Nemacolin have GPS installed on the carts?
Yes. All golf carts are equipped with GPS units for a much more enjoyable round of golf. Track the distance to each pin, order food, alert the beverage cart and message the pro shop with our technologically advanced Visage GPS system.
Can I bring a cooler filled with my own drinks and food to the golf course?
No, coolers and outside food and drinks are not permitted with the exception of bottled water.
Are rental clubs available?
Yes, rental sets are available in Mens right hand, left hand and Ladies.
Are lessons available at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort?
Yes, Nemacolin hosts one of the teaching facilities in the country. The Nemacolin Golf Academy offers a unique blend of golf instruction, club fitting and technology designed exclusively to help your game. Our technical solutions provide our professional instructor, Eric Johnson, a Golf Digest "Top 100 Teacher in America," with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools that will measure everything in your swing as well as about the flight of your golf ball. From club and ball speed, distance, launch angles and spin rate, to swing plane, angle of attack, swing path and club face delivery, there is no aspect of your game or equipment we will not address. How do I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked by calling the pro shop at 724.329.6111.
Can I rent a golf cart during my stay to drive around property?
No, golf carts cannot be rented. Nemacolin has a select number of carts that are needed for tee times.
If I have two juniors who do not have a driver's license, how do I handle the golf cart situation?
If two juniors, neither of which possess a valid driver’s license, are accompanying an adult during a round of golf then one junior will need to walk. It is our recommendation to alternate holes for each junior to walk or find an additional adult to fill the fourth player in a group. Cart drivers must be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Can we leave our clubs at the golf course during our stay at Nemacolin?
Yes, we will be happy to store your clubs during the entire duration of your stay. All clubs will be safely locked into our bag storage room at the end of each day. We will also gladly transport clubs depending on your tee time schedule.

Is the Woodlands Spa and Holistic Healing Center reserved for resort guests only?
Nemacolin's Spa Collection welcomes both day and resort guests.
Is there a minimum age requirement for spa and holistic services?
Guests ages 14 and up may enjoy any of the services offered at the Woodlands Spa. If the guest is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must accompany the guest, excluding salon appointments.
Guests under 14 may receive specialty treatments and / or participate in classes at Holistic Healing Center. Adult supervision or participation may be requested and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. For more information, please contact a Holistic Healing Center associate at 724.329.6411.
Our children's spa, The Grove, accommodates children ages 5 to 13, and features age appropriate spa and salon services.
What is the check-in process at the Woodlands Spa and Holistic Healing Center?
Please arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to your first spa service or salon appointment. Please remember that each appointment is precisely timed out and that a late arrival may cause a modification of your service. In order to honor the next scheduled appointment, your service will end at the scheduled time.
Can I choose my provider?
If you have a preference for a male or female provider, please advise at the time of scheduling your treatment.
Are there any precautions for treatments?
It is advised that expectant mothers and individuals with heart conditions or varicose veins to avoid all heated treatments, steam, sauna and whirpool areas. To prevent skin irritation, guests should avoid shaving prior to body treatments and pedicures.
What do I need to bring with me?
The Woodlands Spa provides a locker, robes, slippers, towels and many additional toiletries and amenities to use during your spa visit. We do not recommend bringing any jewelry or valuables to the Woodlands Spa or Holistic Healing Center. If you are a resort guest, we recommend to leave all jewelry and personal items in your room. We reccommend a swimsuit, as some wet areas are co-ed.
What does the "Sound of Silence" mean?
To preserve an ambiance of peace and tranquility, The Woodlands Spa and Holistic Healing Center are cell phone free environments. Kindly turn off all cell phones prior to entering the spa. We ask that you speak quietly throughout the spa, particularly in waiting areas and in treatment corridors.
What about gratuities?
For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to each service, inclusive of gratuity and tax. This amount is adjustable based on your level of satisfaction with your service.
What is The Woodlands Spa Cancellation Policy?
A notice of 24 hours is required for any cancellation or adjustment to your spa appointment(s). All services canceled or rescheduled within the 24 hour period will be charged for the service, plus gratuity.
What do I need to know about the Fitness Center or Fitness Classes offered?
Woodlands Spa fitness activities are reserved for individuals 14 years of age and older, unless otherwise noted. Guests under 14 may participate in classes at Holistic Healing Center. Adult supervision or participation may be requested and will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Also, please be prompt as classes will begin on time.
Are Nemacolin activities reserved for resort guests only?
No, Nemacolin's Adventure Center and Mystic Mountain welcome both day and resort guests.
What is there to do if it rains?
Nemacolin's Sundial Lodge is the perfect option for guests to escape the rain. It is the central location for our Adventure Center and Mystic Mountain activities. The Sundial Lodge also offers eight lanes of bowling and an arcade. Plus, many of our activities offer climate-controlled surroundings. The Woodlands Spa is a perfect example. We also have wine tastings, art tours, shopping and more.
Do you have any winter activities?
Mystic Mountain's Snowsports Center offers downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and snow shoeing. Youth programs are also offered for our younger guests, including Snow Camp. Another popular option is dogsledding, which is offered during the winter months through the Wildlife Academy.
We want to bring our children, what is there for kids to do?
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort takes great pride in being a family getaway destination. Our Sundial Lodge is the center of all activities from Adventure Center to Snowsports at Mystic Mountain. Many of our resort activities are centered on family fun. Our Children's Activities offer programs for children ages 6 weeks - 15 years. Do you offer babysitting services?
Yes, babysitting services are offered through our Concierge. For reservations or more information, please contact the Concierge desk at 724.329.6163.
Does Nemacolin Woodlands offer any type of memberships?
Yes. We offer annual Golf and Field Club Memberships along with a seasonal Mystic Mountain Pass. We also offer an Experience Membership, which allows you to enjoy all the resort has to offer. For more information, please contact a Resort Reservations Specialist at 877.287.9407.
Is Paradise Pool available for day guests?
We apologize, but the use of all resort pools are restricted to resort guests only.
How do I get from the Townhomes or Luxury Vacation Homes to the main hotel?
Shuttle service is provided on a complimentary basis to all outlets of the resort. For pick up at any Townhome or Luxury Vacation Home, please contact the Concierge at time of service request at 724.329.6163. or by dialing extension "6000" from your room's phone.
Are your townhomes for sale to private individuals?
From time to time, certain privately owned townhomes are offered for sale by their owners through their realtor.
What kind of bird is Fatbird?
Our loveable mascot, Fatbird, has endeared himself to many guests over the years. Fashioned after the Botero sculpture at the resort's entrance, he is a plump little fellow with short legs. Fatbird loves to swim, ski, shoot sporting clays, golf, shop and horseback ride. But most of all, he loves to see guests enjoying themselves. He's a rare bird indeed!
Where did the name Nemacolin come from?
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort was named after Chief Nemacolin. The Delaware Indian Chief blazed the trail that later George Washington would travel through the Allegheny Mountains along what is now U.S. Route 40. Click Here for more information regarding our resort's history.
Does Nemacolin Woodlands Resort make donations to charitable organizations?
