Skiing & Snowboarding

PA Snow Pass logo.

Mystic Mountain is Western Pennsylvania's ideal learning environment for first-time skiers and snowboarders, with 25 acres of fun, short lines, friendly trails and experienced instructors.

If winter sports are your thing then you are in luck! Downhill skiing and snowboarding are available on 7 slopes at Mystic Mountain, with slope difficulty ranging from beginner to expert. Mystic Mountain has a 300' vertical drop, three lifts and is 100% illuminated, making night skiing great fun. The mountain is serviced by three lifts: one quad chair lift, a beginner tow and a surface lift in the snow tubing park. Mystic Mountain also has rental equipment available, leaving no excuses for battling the mountain!

Our professional staff is available for private lessons and ready to assist those in need. Mystic Mountain offers a variety of programs suitable for all ages; however, they are recommended for children ages 4 and older. Private lessons are recommended for those interested in making a life of the sport. Advanced reservations are required.

Snow Tubing

Young girl riding down a hill in a blue snow tube.

An exciting activity that requires little on-snow skill! Take a seat on our specially designed tubes and navigate down our 800' tubing park. Tube and rider are carried back to the top of the hill by our surface lift for multiple rides. Advanced reservations are required.

Participants must be 42" tall, one person per snow tube, ski boots are not permitted to be worn while snow tubing and parental supervision is required for children 12 and under.

Beginners will appreciate the park as they learn the skills needed to be able to successfully master more advanced terrain parks. The park is located on the right side of Grizzly Run and may include any of the following features: 16' and 24' flat boxes, 14' down flat rail, 16' down cannon rail, 24' rainbow box and a variety of jumps.

Introduction to Terrain Park Lessons are available. Visit our Rates & Hours page for more information.

Beginner and Intermediate lessons are available weekends only.

Snowshoeing

Winter Dog Sledding

Sled dogs pulling a sled through the snow.

You don’t have to go to Alaska to witness dogs pulling a sled through the snow. It’s at Nemacolin! Meet your very own set of sled dogs and their friends with a tour of our dog yard that houses 24 Alaskan huskies. There is a short briefing on the basics of dog sledding and how the musher maneuvers the sled while controlling the dogs with specific voice signals. Then, climb on in! Glide across the snow at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour, making quick turns up and down the scenic landscape of the Laurel Highlands. Get an adrenaline rush that you’ve never had before!

Minimum weight for children is 45 lbs. The run will take place regardless of weather, so please dress appropriately.

Advanced reservations are strongly recommended for many of our activities. For more information, please contact a Resort Sales Specialist at 866.344.6957
